Moroccan Political Party Official Detained After Fatal Accident Kills French Teen in Rabat

A young motorcyclist around 15 years old died in Rabat as a result of a traffic accident caused by an official of the Party of Justice and Development (PJD) and the Unity and Reform Movement (MUR).
The PJD official was detained after causing the accident that resulted in one death and one injury in Rabat, reports Barlamane. The accused hit a 16-year-old French national and his 15-year-old friend. The first, seriously injured, died on the spot and the second was rushed to the Avicenne hospital.

The man was presented on Wednesday, November 17, before the deputy prosecutor of the king near the court of first instance of Rabat, who ordered his detention in the El Arjat prison in Salé. He will be prosecuted for "driving causing death and non-compliance with the traffic sign". He will appear before the judge again on November 19.
According to the same source, the accused had been arrested in the case of the Belgo-Moroccan Abdelkader Belliraj, accused in 2009 of having led a terrorist network in Morocco and abroad, and sentenced to life imprisonment by the Salé court.
