Moroccan Political Leader Arrested in Marrakech for Driving Stolen Swedish SUV

A provincial secretary of a political party was arrested in Marrakech on Tuesday, aboard a 4X4 vehicle. She is accused of receiving this stolen car from Sweden.
The case broke out following a complaint from a Moroccan and a Swedish national. They reported the theft of the vehicle in Sweden, reports Assabah.
The investigation opened by the police services of the Gueliz district in Marrakech led to the arrest of the political leader. She had to call on her brother, a Moroccan expatriate living in Sweden who is the owner of the vehicle. He would have lent the vehicle to his sister for a few days.
After presenting the vehicle documents, the police concluded that it was a malicious complaint. Furthermore, the file was entrusted to Interpol, which will be responsible for continuing the investigation in order to determine the responsibilities.
