Four Arrested in Salé for Violent Carjacking and Kidnapping Scheme
Four individuals aged 22 to 46 were arrested by the judicial police elements of Salé, in coordination with the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST). They would belong to a criminal gang involved in a case of theft, sequestration and violence.
In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicated that the suspects intercepted a vehicle in a forest area of Sala Al Jadida. Before taking the vehicle with them, they proceeded to sequester the victim before releasing him in the same area.
After research and investigations, the elements of the judicial police were able to identify the suspects and arrest three of them on board the stolen car. This was in the Sidi Taibi region, located between the cities of Salé and Kenitra. As for the fourth suspect, he was arrested in Tangier, the DGSN specifies.
According to the same source, the accused were placed in custody for the purposes of the preliminary investigation opened, in order to determine all the ramifications of this case.
