Moroccan Police Seize One Ton of Cannabis in Fez Drug Bust

One ton of drugs was seized by the police, during a security operation carried out by the elements of the judicial police of Fez. The police were able to rely on information provided by the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) and the Regional Brigade of the Judicial Police.
In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicated that the search of a light vehicle intercepted at the level of the ring road leading to Outat El Haj and Guercif, made it possible to seize 40 bales of a total quantity of one ton of cannabis resin. The driver and the passenger of the vehicle fled, abandoning the car in an area known for its complex terrain, the DGSN specifies.
The research and investigations continue to determine the possible ramifications of this case at the national and international levels and to apprehend all the accomplices, concludes the DGSN press release.
