Moroccan Police Seize 600 Kilos of Cannabis Near Rissani, One Suspect Arrested

More than half a ton of cannabis was seized near Rissani, by the police services who relied on information provided by the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST). A 48-year-old individual was taken into custody.
In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicates that the research and investigations led to the location of the drugs, with a total weight of some 600 kilos, in the suburbs of Rissani and more precisely in the commune of Sidi Ali.
The suspect was taken into custody pending the completion of the investigation and his appearance before the courts.
Several anti-drug operations were carried out this week in Morocco, including the seizure of more than a ton of cannabis resin in Casablanca and the arrest of three men. In Guerguerat, in the south of the country, more than two tons of drugs were seized on board an international refrigerated transport truck.
