Moroccan Police Seize Over 1 Ton of Cannabis in Kénitra Truck Bust

Very early this Monday morning, based on precise information provided by the DGST, the judicial police of Kénitra thwarted a trafficking operation of 1.120 tons of chira on board an international freight transport truck.
In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicated that the vehicle, coming from a city in northern Morocco, was intercepted at the entrance to the city of Kénitra and was subjected to thorough searches. This allowed the police to seize on board the truck, 36 packages weighing a total of one ton and 120 kilograms of drugs hidden in empty plastic drums.
The police also arrested the 47-year-old driver. He was taken into custody for the ongoing investigation in order to apprehend all the people involved in these criminal acts, the DGSN specifies.
