Moroccan-French Man Arrested Near Midelt for Smuggling Spoiled Food and Car Parts

Elements of the Royal Gendarmerie of Midelt proceeded to arrest a Moroccan residing in France. He is accused of having a large quantity of spoiled consumer products in his vehicle.
On board his car, the Moroccan residing abroad was about to sell his goods in a local market near Midelt, when he was apprehended by the gendarmes, reports Akhbarona.
A thorough search of the vehicle also revealed car engines, originally from France, which the accused had brought to Morocco without clearing customs.
An investigation has been opened by the services of the royal gendarmerie under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, pending his appearance before the courts.
