Moroccan Police Seize 10 Tons of Cannabis in Major International Drug Bust

Two individuals were arrested on Friday in Oujda for their alleged links to an international drug trafficking network.
The joint operation, carried out by elements of the judicial police service in Oujda, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), led to the arrest of the first suspect in Bni Drar and the seizure of 20 half-ton packages of cannabis resin and two vehicles, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a statement.
According to the same source, the investigation procedures resulted in the arrest of the 2nd suspect in Berkane, for his alleged involvement in these criminal acts.
As for the two suspects, they were placed in custody at the disposal of the judicial investigation to elucidate the ins and outs of this case and determine its possible links with international drug networks in order to arrest all the accomplices and perpetrators involved in these criminal acts.
