Two individuals, one of whom is wanted nationally, were arrested on Friday in Casablanca. They are accused of alleged involvement in a case of possession and trafficking of drugs and psychotropics.
The collaboration between the prefectural judicial police service of Casablanca and the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance made it possible to arrest these two suspects on board a passenger car at the control point in the center of Casablanca, said the DGSN, in a press release. The searches carried out at the home of one of the accused made it possible to seize 3,776 drug tablets, 3,000 psychotropic "Ecstasy" tablets, 776 psychotropic "Rivotril" tablets and 10 grams of cocaine, the same press release said.
According to the same source, the checking of the suspects in the DGSN database revealed that one of the defendants is the subject of a national search warrant from the judicial police services, for his alleged involvement in a case of issuing a check without provision.
For the needs of the investigation, the two accused were placed in custody to elucidate the ins and outs of this case and arrest any possible accomplices in this criminal act.
