Moroccan Police Seize 25 Kilos of Cocaine in Tanger Med Port Bust

The judicial police brigade of the Tanger-Med port security district thwarted, on Monday, an attempt to traffic 25.5 kilograms of cocaine on board a truck of international transport coming from a European country. This, thanks to the precise information provided by the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST).
The search operations carried out on board the truck led to the seizure of a total quantity of 25.5 kilograms of cocaine, carefully hidden under the driver’s cab, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release. The driver, a 42-year-old Moroccan, was arrested, the same source said.
Pending the elucidation of the ins and outs of this case, the determination of the ramifications and links of this operation with international drug trafficking networks, and the identification of any accomplices involved in this case, the suspect has been taken into custody.
