Repeat Offender Arrested Near Casablanca with 480 kg of Cannabis Resin

A repeat offender who was the subject of a national arrest warrant was apprehended on Friday evening by the prefectural judicial police service of Casablanca, thanks to information provided by the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST).
The 52-year-old suspect is said to be involved in a case of possession and trafficking of drugs and narcotics, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The search of the suspect’s vehicle led to his apprehension in the rural area of Sidi Rahhal, near Casablanca, and the seizure of 480 kilograms of cannabis resin, the statement said.
In order to determine the ins and outs of this case and shed light on all the offenses attributed to the accused, the latter was placed in custody, at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
