Moroccan Police Raid Illegal Shisha Bar in Marrakech, Arrest 15 Expatriates

About fifteen people, mostly Moroccans residing abroad (MRE), were arrested on Tuesday by the police in a shisha bar in Marrakech.
According to the website Kech24, the operation followed a complaint from neighbors who were complaining about noise nuisance. The manager of this shisha bar continued to operate beyond the regulatory hours.
After opening a rear access, the bar manager was organizing clandestine poker games, the same source said.
The search of the premises allowed the seizure of a large quantity of "Maassal" and about ten water pipes. The 15 MRE and the manager were taken into custody, and an investigation was opened under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
