Moroccan Police Officer Arrested for Alleged Fraud and Embezzlement in Rabat

A chief brigadier suspected of fraud and embezzlement is the subject of an investigation opened on Wednesday by the Judicial Police Brigade of the Sala Al-Jadida police district. The police officer in question is part of the Urban Corps of the Rabat Police Prefecture.
The results of the preliminary investigation showed that the suspect would have received 20,000 dirhams from a victim in exchange for the promise of integrating his sister into the ranks of the National Security. An argument put forward to defraud the victim, indicates the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release.
Pending the determination of the ins and outs of this case, the suspect has been taken into custody.
