Moroccan Police Investigate Distorted Quran Verses Shared on Facebook, Suspect Abroad

The Prefectural Service of Marrakech has opened a judicial investigation to determine the identity of the people involved in the sharing of distorted Quranic verses on Facebook.
The dissemination of distorted Quranic verses on the social network has prompted the police to open an investigation that resulted in the identification of a young Moroccan woman residing abroad.
The accused could be the subject of an international arrest warrant in order to answer for her acts, severely punished by the Moroccan penal code.
The police investigation continues to identify the other Internet users who shared the post. They could also be prosecuted for blasphemy.
