Rabat Police Arrest Two for Sharing Pornographic Content with Minors

Two individuals, including a student at the Institute of Applied Sciences, were arrested by the judicial police in Rabat. Suspicions of dissemination of digital content of a pornographic nature and their sharing with underage children weigh on the latter. They are for the moment in custody, for the needs of the preliminary investigation, conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office. Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing to arrest all persons involved in the publication and sharing of this pornographic content and its sharing with underage children.

The mother of a child who received a two-minute video, filmed abroad and showing pornographic images related to the sexual exploitation of a minor girl, filed a complaint with the Rabat police department. A judicial investigation was opened and led to the arrest of El Jadida, the person who sent the video," said the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) in a statement. The second, on the other hand, was arrested in Fez, suspected of having asked to be sent the video and mistakenly given the number of the minor child.

The DGSN also points out that the video in question, as well as others of the same kind, have been subjected to expertise and criminal investigations at the central service for the fight against crimes related to new technologies. This will make it possible to identify all the people who are at the origin of the dissemination of these videos.
