Fake Cop Arrested in Kenitra: Man Used Counterfeit Badges to Stop Drivers

A 21-year-old man was arrested while posing as a police officer in Kenitra.
The investigation carried out by the elements of the Prefectural Judicial Police Service of Kenitra revealed that the defendant, accompanied by other people, used fake badges to arrest motorists whom he subjected to fake checks.
The searches carried out at the suspect’s home made it possible to seize a fake armband stamped with distinctive signs similar to those used by the national security services.
For the needs of the investigation, the defendant was placed in custody. As for the research and investigations, they continue in order to determine the motive for these acts.
