Alleged Serial Fraudster Arrested: Fake Diplomat Used Forged Documents in Immigration Scam

A 53-year-old man with a long criminal record has just been arrested in Temara. The list of facts that justice accuses him of is long and impressive: fraud, forgery of official documents, identity theft, etc.
Wanted under 3 arrest warrants for his involvement in the organization of illegal immigration, fraud and scams, the individual was arrested last Monday by the judicial police of the city, after using a fake ID card and a fake passport to rent two apartments.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the identity documents belong to two people involved in a criminal case and a snatching.
The initial elements of the investigation shed light on other fraudulent activities of the suspect. Under the identity of a foreign diplomat, the man had managed to defraud several victims who had believed in his promises to obtain a Schengen visa for them.
He also victimized several other people through fraud, to whom he presented himself as the owner of a luxury car rental company.
After investigation, the individual was placed in custody at the disposal of the public prosecutor’s office, pending the completion of the investigation intended to identify other people involved in his criminal network.
