Moroccan Police Foil Night Burglary of Swiss Resident’s Villa, Suspects Get 5 Years

The police would have, in Meknes, received information that a burglary targeting the villa of a Moroccan residing in Switzerland would take place at night. They therefore set a trap for the burglars...
The court has just sentenced to 5 years each the burglars who had prepared and carried out, at night, the burglary of the upscale villa of a Moroccan national living in Switzerland. Police officers set an ambush for the thieves and waited for them to get bogged down in their crime before arresting them.
Indeed, the agents on site (who had been tipped off by an informant), waited, according to the newspaper "Assabah", until the thieves had broken the locks of the villa, before arresting them. Of course, they would not have been able to prove the criminals’ intentions without this.
The burglars, aged 23 to 26, would have fiercely resisted, trying to flee the scene. But it was to no avail. They were surrounded and the police had the situation well in hand. Flashlights and many tools to commit their theft were found on them. They came to the crime scene in a "Ford Fiesta" car, registered abroad, still according to the same source.
