Moroccan Police Commissioner Arrested in Drug Trafficking Bust

A man actively sought in Nador and Al Hoceima has finally been arrested by elements of the BNPJ and the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance. He would be a member of a criminal network active in the international drug and psychotropic trafficking.
The individual was arrested in Nador. In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicated that the investigations also led to the arrest of a police commissioner serving in the territorial surveillance services in the same city. He is suspected of being an accomplice to the main suspect in this case.
In addition to the arrest of this man, the security forces also proceeded to seize eight mobile phones, which are currently undergoing the necessary technical expertise by the national laboratory for the analysis of digital traces. The police also found a large sum of money and five capsules containing suspicious products at the suspect’s home, which were sent to the scientific and technical police laboratory.
The accused and the arrested police commissioner have been taken into custody for the investigation opened to determine the ins and outs of this case and identify any accomplices in these criminal acts, the DGSN said.
