Moroccan Police Seize 500 kg of Cannabis in Major Drug Bust Near Fez

A 34-year-old man was arrested by elements of the Anti-Gang Brigade of the prefectural judicial police of Fez. He would be involved in the activities of a criminal network active in drug and psychotropic trafficking.
The operation was carried out in the Benssouda district of Fez, based on information provided by the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The suspect was arrested on board a utility vehicle. The search operations of the vehicle made it possible to seize 20 bales of cannabis resin (chira) weighing 500 kg, three mobile phones and a sum of money suspected of coming from this criminal activity.
The suspect, who already has several criminal records for drug cases, was placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted to determine the possible ramifications of this activity and identify all the criminal acts attributed to him.
