Major Drug Bust in Morocco: 2 Tons of Cannabis Seized, 4 Suspects Arrested

The elements of the prefectural judicial police service of Kénitra seized on Thursday morning 2 tons of cannabis resin and apprehended 4 individuals including 2, suspected of links with a criminal network active in the international drug and psychotropic trafficking.
The first suspect, according to a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), was arrested on board a utility vehicle containing 2010 kilograms of chira, packaged in 67 bales, in the rural area "Ouled Mlik", 12 km from the city of Kénitra. Subsequently, the second suspect who accompanied the first, on board another vehicle, was also arrested by the police elements.
At the end of the investigations, two other individuals, believed to be linked to this criminal network, were caught in flagrante delicto of possession of a hunting rifle and 11 cartridges, details the DGSN, specifying that the latter are on the database of the national security which had issued a nationwide search warrant against them. They would be involved in a case of international drug and psychotropic trafficking.
