Massive Drug Bust in Morocco: 5 Tons of Cannabis Seized, 5 Arrested in Nador

An operation carried out on Wednesday by elements of the judicial police brigade of Nador resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of drugs and the arrest of five traffickers.
The elements of the judicial police brigade of Nador, informed by the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, carried out a raid in a house in the "Inaala" district, indicates a press release from the DGSN, which also specifies that the operation resulted in the seizure of 150 bales of cannabis resin (chira) weighing a total of 5 tons and 30 kilograms.
Continuing the investigations, the elements of the judicial police arrested five individuals suspected of belonging to the international drug trafficking network. They are being held in custody for the purposes of the preliminary investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office.
The searches also resulted in the seizure of thirteen cars and two motorcycles, including a quad, which should be used in this criminal activity, specifies the Directorate General of National Security.
The police services are continuing the investigations and searches in order to identify and arrest all the persons belonging to this criminal network, the DGSN said.
