Massive Drug Bust: Over 2 Tons of Cannabis Seized Near Mohammedia, Morocco

Elements of the national brigade of the judicial police thwarted on Friday an attempt to traffic drugs near Mohammedia. The operation led to the seizure of two tons and 490 kg of cannabis loaded into a road freight transport truck.
Based on information received from the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), the elements of the national brigade of the judicial police arrested the truck driver near the city of Mohammedia, as he was about to pass the goods between the cities of Tangier and Agadir, the DGSN said in a statement. After the searches, two tons and 490 kg of cannabis resin hidden in wooden crates and cubes were seized, reports the Map.
The arrested individual, aged 59, was taken into custody. The investigations are continuing under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, in order to shed light on this case and arrest his accomplices.
