Moroccan Police Bust Fraud Ring in Marrakech, Arrest Three Suspects

A whistle-blowing by the Moroccan police. Three individuals were arrested for their alleged involvement in a criminal network active in forgery, use of forgery and fraud. Their arrest follows complaints filed by four victims, students and employees.

They accuse them of fraud under the pretext of having them immigrate to the Gulf countries with employment contracts for a total amount of 45,000 dhs for the four victims, according to a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).

The investigations carried out, as well as the search operations, were conclusive: the premises serving as a fictitious travel agency were located. Investigators found there 58 passports belonging to potential victims, 120 files containing personal documents of the victims.

The investigators also proceeded to seize a computer and mobile phones, then a fake stamp of the fictitious travel agency, details the same source. For now, the accused have been placed in custody for the needs of the investigation.
