Moroccan Police Officer Charged in Fake Job Recruitment Scam

Three individuals including a woman and a policeman, suspected of being involved in a case of fraud on the grounds of fictitious recruitment and forgery and use of forgery, were referred to the competent prosecutor’s office in Essaouira.
The investigation by the national security services was carried out following information relayed on social networks, indicating that the suspected woman is a regular in fictitious recruitments in a public institution in exchange for sums of money, according to a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The investigations made it possible to establish a list of victims in the city of Essaouira and in the region of Rich, who paid sums of money to the accused, confirming the involvement of the policeman in these acts of forgery and use of forgery.
The suspects were placed in custody, pending the continuation of in-depth investigations to detect any possible ramifications of the network, the statement concludes.
