Moroccan Police Bust Forgery Ring in Fez and Meknes, Four Arrested

Elements of the Judicial Police Brigade of Fez-Meknes arrested four individuals, including a woman, in simultaneous operations carried out in Fez and Meknes. They would be involved with a criminal network active in the falsification of official documents, fraud, forgery and use of forgeries.
The operation carried out by this brigade in coordination with the prefectural service of the judicial police of Fez and the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) made it possible to arrest the accused, aged 30 to 45, according to a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
One of the defendants is a repeat offender wanted by the Regional Brigade of the Judicial Police of Fez for a case of fraud and the use of falsified documents to defraud new vehicle sales companies, the same source said.
In addition, the searches carried out as part of this case made it possible to seize computer equipment and a printer used in the context of these criminal acts, as well as false stamps and identity documents, and vehicle ownership documents. A vehicle whose registration certificate was falsified was also seized.
