Cocaine Trafficking Ring Busted in Casablanca: Five Arrested, 1.5 kg Seized

Five individuals were arrested by elements of the Prefectural Criminal Brigade of Casablanca. They are accused of their alleged links with a criminal network active in cocaine trafficking.
Four of them were apprehended inside a house in the "La Gironde" neighborhood in Casablanca, according to the DGSN. As for the fifth, he was arrested on board a vehicle, as he was coming to supply himself with cocaine.
Several search operations were carried out and allowed the elements of the Prefectural Criminal Brigade of Casablanca to seize one kilogram and 480 grams (1.48 kg) of cocaine, in addition to a piece of cannabis resin, mobile phones, two electronic scales and a sum of money suspected to be from this criminal activity, the same source said.
The five suspects, including two women and a person with a criminal record, were taken into custody and made available to the investigation conducted by the prefectural criminal brigade under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, in order to shed light on this case and detect any ramifications and possible links of this criminal network.
