Based on precise information provided by the DGST, the judicial police elements of Rabat arrested four individuals with criminal records. They are accused of their alleged links with a criminal gang, specialized in burglary with false keys.
In a statement dated Friday, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) specified that the four counterfeiters are between 36 and 43 years old. Based on a nationwide arrest warrant issued against them, two of them were arrested during a security operation in Agdal, in the center of Rabat.
As for the two other accomplices, they were caught in the act of theft inside a residence in Tabriquet, a very lively neighborhood in the city of Salé, in possession of many jewels.
Several searches carried out in the homes of the delinquents located in different neighborhoods of Salé and El-Jadida, allowed the judicial police elements to seize "a large quantity of jewelry, phones, digital cameras and a sum of money exceeding 80,000 dirhams, suspected of being the loot of their criminal activity, as well as a set of false keys and two cars whose origin and legal status are being determined," details the same source.
In order to shed light on the criminal activity carried out by these counterfeiters, the four suspects were placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, assures the DGSN.
