Moroccan Police Arrest Man for Online Threats Against Law Enforcement

Elements of the National Brigade of the Judicial Police (BNPJ) in coordination with the prefectural service of the judicial police of Béni-Mellal, arrested on Saturday, June 27, a dangerous individual. He would be involved in a case of threatening voluntary homicide and inciting violence against elements of the public forces.
The services of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) reacted seriously to the photo of a firearm published on social networks and accompanied by a comment in which its author expresses his intention to commit voluntary homicide against elements of the public forces, indicates a press release from the DGSN.
The research and investigations carried out made it possible to identify the suspect and arrest him in Béni-Mellal, the same source specifies. It also turned out that the photo in question was only a fake weapon, the purpose of which was to undermine the tranquility of citizens, adds the same source.
Pending the determination of the ins and outs of this case as well as the real motives for the publication of these digital content inciting to commit criminal acts, the accused was subjected to a preliminary investigation by the BNPJ.
