Grisly Murder in Marrakech: Suspect Arrested for Homicide and Body Mutilation

The recent murder in Marrakech was the subject of an investigation. The reconstitution of the voluntary homicide with sequestration and mutilation of the victim’s body took place at the beginning of the week.
A press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) provides the macabre details of this case. It specifies that the agents of the prefectural service of the judicial police of the ochre city proceeded to the arrest of an individual on Saturday evening. Aged 29, he is suspected of voluntary homicide with sequestration and mutilation of the corpse. On June 30, the services of the Marrakech police prefecture discovered a decomposing body in a sewage drainage canal with the hands and feet tied.
The reconstruction of the crime scene was supervised by the deputy prosecutor general of the king near the Court of Appeal of Marrakech and the head of the Prefectural Service of the Judicial Police (SPPJ) as well as his deputy.
The research and genetic analyzes made it possible to identify that the victim was a 23-year-old girl of loose morals. The same investigations made it possible to identify and arrest the suspect, who was held in custody and made available for the preliminary investigation, conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, to determine the causes of the crime, notes La Map.
