Retired Moroccan Military Officer Arrested for Wife’s Murder in Guelmim

Elements of the judicial police brigade under the provincial security district of Guelmim arrested, on Wednesday, July 1, a 56-year-old retired military man. He would be involved in a case of voluntary homicide of his 37-year-old wife.
The security services in Guelmim had started, on Tuesday, the procedures for examining the body of a woman inside her home, bearing apparent marks of violence with a blunt tool, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The research and investigations carried out by the judicial police elements revealed the alleged involvement of the victim’s husband in this crime, the same source adds, noting that the suspect had fled after committing his crime.
The investigation and investigation procedures made it possible to determine the location of the suspect and to arrest him, the same source points out. According to the investigators, the motives for this crime are probably related to ongoing family problems that are being identified through the investigation procedures.
Pending the determination of the ins and outs of this criminal case, the accused was placed in custody.
