Moroccan PJD Official Arrested for Adultery, Faces Prison Sentence

The Royal Gendarmerie of Kalaat Magouna, in the province of Tinghir, arrested a PJD leader for adultery on Monday, March 9.
It is a local PJD secretary. His arrest follows a complaint filed with the gendarmerie by a man, reports Barlamane. The plaintiff designates him as the lover of his wife. She was also arrested on March 8 for adultery.
The accused was placed in custody, pending his and his mistress’ appearance, this Tuesday, March 10, 2020, before the court of first instance of Tinghir.
Under the law, the two accused face a sentence of one month to one year in prison for out-of-wedlock relations.
