Moroccan Woman and Algerian Lover Arrested for Adultery in Agadir

A married woman was caught in the act of adultery with her lover, an Algerian national, in a converted house in downtown Agadir, on Monday, January 20.
According to the site Akhbarona, the young woman was apprehended on Monday morning by the elements of the judicial police of the city, in a residential complex. She was in the company of her lover, of Algerian nationality.
The search of the apartment was carried out following a complaint filed by her husband, who suspected her of extramarital relations and had followed her.
It should be noted that Article 489 of the Moroccan Penal Code is very clear on adultery. "Any married person convicted of adultery shall be punished by imprisonment of one to two years. Prosecution is only brought on the complaint of the offended spouse." Which seems to be the case in this affair.
