Moroccan Court Official Arrested for Bribery in Casablanca Corruption Sting

The elements of the judicial police of Casablanca proceeded, on Monday, January 27, to the arrest of an official of the Correctional Chamber of Ain Sebaâ, caught in the act of corruption. According to sources close to the court, he would be the head of the complaint reception service at the Ain Sebaâ court.
Another official pinned down thanks to the green line set up to strengthen the fight against corruption, undertaken by the Moroccan authorities. The person concerned was arrested, following a complaint filed by a young citizen who accuses him of extortion and blackmail, in exchange for the cancellation of a search warrant he was the subject of, indicates h24info.ma.
The official was caught in the act of receiving a bribe of 5,000 DH. He indeed fell into a trap, an organized exchange, with the blessing of the prosecutor.
The irony of the situation is that the person concerned appeared on Wednesday, January 29, before the same Ain Sebaâ court where he works, specifies the same source.
