Market Official Arrested for Blackmail Scheme Involving Adultery Photos

The president of an association of the weekly market of Temsia, near Agadir, was arrested on Tuesday, February 11, by the royal gendarmerie, following the complaint of a married woman, accusing him of blackmail with threats to publish her intimate photos on the Internet.
According to the statements of the plaintiff to the general prosecutor’s office in Inezgane, the president would have tried to blackmail her using photos taken during a hot evening, spent in the arms of a young lover.
The interrogation of the latter revealed the nature of his relationship with the blackmailer. In reality, the president of the association had rented the services of the young lover, in order to force the adulterous wife to stay away from her son.
The man was placed in custody, at the disposal of the investigation, conducted under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, pending clarification of this case of adultery, blackmail and corruption.
