Moroccan Officer Draws Weapon to Subdue Armed Robbery Suspect in Meknes

To arrest a dangerous individual caught in the act of violent theft in Meknes, a police sergeant brandished his service weapon without using it on Tuesday, August 14, 2019, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The suspect, according to sources relayed by the MAP, was assaulting a person near a bus stop in the Zaytoun neighborhood. Seeing the police officer, the dangerous individual put up fierce resistance with his bladed weapon due to his state of agitation.
His arrest was not easy for the police sergeant on duty to apprehend him. He had to draw his weapon without firing to neutralize the accused.
The suspect was finally taken into custody for investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office to shed light on the ins and outs of this case, the same source said.
