Moroccan Minister Opposes Diplomatic Ties with Israel, Sparking Controversy

The restoration of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel is not to the liking of Mohamed Amekraz, Minister of Employment, member of the Party of Justice and Development (PJD).
"When we, the youth of the PJD, express our clear principled position on normalization and other issues related to Palestine, we express the historical position of the PJD Youth and all Moroccans," he said on an Iranian channel. The minister clearly displays, through this statement, his refusal and that of his party to accept the decision to normalize diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel.
A position that raises lively controversy. Especially since it is a party that is at the head of the government. PJD ministers must interact with Israel. But with this categorical refusal to support King Mohammed VI’s decision, will the collaboration between these ministers and Israeli officials be successful? Only the future will tell.
