Warning shots were fired by Moroccan soldiers last night at the defense line in Gueltat Zemmour, in the Moroccan Sahara.
A military source quoted by the MAP indicates that a drug trafficking operation had been aborted by the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) which resulted in the seizure of 3,700 kilos of drugs.
Last October, a mobile patrol of the FAR had opened fire on drug traffickers in the same place. The latter had left behind 12 packages of cannabis resin weighing 300 kg.
