Massive Drug Bust in Tangier: Moroccan Police Seize Over 15 Tons in Truck

A new anti-drug operation in Tangier where the police seized more than 15 tons of drugs yesterday, Wednesday.
In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicates that it discovered this significant quantity of drugs in "a specially arranged hollow on board a Moroccan-registered international transport truck that was spotted in the Boukhalef neighborhood in Tangier".
On Saturday, the police had already seized 13.75 tons of drugs at the Tanger Med port, bringing the total quantity to nearly 29 tons, the same source said.
For the police, it is a cross-border criminal network in the drug trade that has created "fictitious companies to conceal its illicit activities and maintain links with criminal networks in Morocco or Europe".
The investigation continues to apprehend "all individuals involved in this case and to uncover all the activities of this criminal network, both in terms of drug trafficking and money laundering".
