Moroccan Police Seize Over 2 Tons of Hashish in Major Drug Bust Near Larache

New anti-drug operation by the Moroccan police which yesterday, Friday, led to the arrest of two individuals and above all the seizure of more than two tons of drugs that were inside a vehicle.
The details are provided by the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) in a press release, which indicates that the operation "made it possible to seize a vehicle in a forest near the El Houafate region, about 40 kilometers in the direction of Larache". It contained exactly 2.328 tons of hashish.
And to further specify that the two individuals are linked to an international drug network. These, aged 33 and 48, were taken into custody and will be brought before the judge at the end of the investigation currently being conducted by the DGSN services.
Just over a fortnight ago, customs officers seized more than 2 tons of drugs near the Tetouan region, with a total value of nearly 20 million dirhams. The drugs had been arranged in 53 packages and the vehicle transporting them bore falsified license plates. To carry out this operation, the customs brigade was able to count on the support of elements of a gendarmerie brigade.
