Just over two tons of cannabis resin (chira) were seized yesterday by the Royal Gendarmerie in Ksar Sghir, in northern Morocco.
According to sources cited by the site Alyaoum24, a unit of the Royal Gendarmerie seized this quantity of drugs on board a car. Suspecting suspicious activity by the driver, the gendarmes asked him to stop for a check, but he fled, leaving his vehicle in the hands of the gendarmes, where they found more than two tons of drugs.
Last week, the police announced the seizure of more than 20 tons of drugs in the Tangier region on board two freight trucks.
