Massive Drug Bust: 13 Tons of Cannabis Seized Near Casablanca
13 tons of cannabis resin were seized on Thursday on board a freight transport truck and a utility vehicle near Casablanca, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The operation carried out by the Moroccan security services made it possible to intercept the two vehicles and arrest an individual who is the subject of a national search warrant for international drug trafficking and for his alleged involvement in this act.
The search operations on the two vehicles made it possible to seize more than 13 tons of drugs, including 11.6 tons packaged on board the truck and 1.4 tons of drugs on board the utility vehicle, the same statement said.
The suspect was taken into custody for the needs of the investigation.
