Massive Drug Bust at Tanger Med Port: 11 Tons Seized in International Trafficking Operation

An international drug trafficking operation was dismantled in Tanger Med. It resulted in the seizure of 11 tons and 440 kg of drugs hidden in an international freight transport truck.
The security operation set up by the elements of the judicial police service of Tanger in collaboration with the customs officers at the Tanger Med port and the services of the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) made it possible to intercept this cargo of agricultural products intended for export and which was to reach a Spanish port, indicates a press release from the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN).
The driver, a 33-year-old Moroccan, was arrested and taken into custody for the needs of the investigation. In addition, the investigations continue in order to arrest the accomplices of the accused.
