Massive Drug Bust: Nearly 14 Tons of Cannabis Seized at Morocco’s Tanger Med Port

13 tons and 750 kilograms of cannabis resin were discovered on Saturday at the Tanger-Med port by the police.
The drugs were hidden "in a recess of a semi-trailer truck for international transport intercepted on one of the quays of the port," says the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) in a press release.
The prefectural judicial police service of Tangier is continuing its research and investigations to arrest all the people involved in this case and determine the ramifications and links of the criminal network, the DGSN said.
Last August, the police and customs services had seized 480 kilos of hashish in a truck transporting a cargo of vegetables. The drugs were hidden in the form of plates in the fuel tanks.
