Royal Navy Seizes 500 Kilos of Cannabis Resin Off Tangier Coast

Some 500 kilos of cannabis resin were seized yesterday, Thursday, by the Royal Navy off the city of Tangier, according to military sources.
According to these sources cited by the MAP, it was 5 a.m. yesterday when the coast guards detected a suspicious inflatable boat off Tangier. It was suspected of drug trafficking and it turned out to contain 590 kilos of drugs that the traffickers had just thrown into the sea.
However, no details were given on the number of people arrested by the Royal Navy during this operation.
Last week, three Spanish nationals were arrested during an anti-drug operation, this time near M’diq. The go-fast refused to comply and "tried to collide with the Moroccan coast guards, which forced the Royal Navy unit to disable the three 350-horsepower engines of the go-fast before immobilizing it," it was stated in a press release.
On board the go-fast, the Royal Navy seized 30 jerrycans containing about 900 liters of gasoline.
