Moroccan Army Scandal: 12 Soldiers Arrested for Aiding Drug Export Operation

A case that stains the Moroccan army. Twelve soldiers were arrested for turning a blind eye to a drug export operation in Moulay Bousselham, in northern Morocco.
The facts are reported by the newspaper Al Akhbar, which indicates that the twelve soldiers were presented this week to the public prosecutor’s office in Souk Larbaâ for having facilitated the departure of several tons of drugs via the beach of Moulay Bousselham.
Still according to the daily, last Sunday, traffickers loaded their drug cargo near an army surveillance post and the investigation conducted since then by the Royal Gendarmerie has revealed that several other operations had been carried out in the same place, without them being bothered by the military.
