Moroccan Man Fatally Stabbed Near Bilbao Metro Station in Gang Attack

A 28-year-old Moroccan died on Thursday from the effects of a violent assault he suffered at the hands of about a dozen people at the entrance to the Abando-Indalecio Prieto station, in the center of Bilbao.
The victim was being chased by at least twelve people, three of whom were the main perpetrators of the assault. One of them, a 16-year-old minor, managed to catch up with him and stab him in the chest. They then fled, leaving the young man to bleed out gradually, reports El Espanol. The incident took place a few meters from the Bilbao Abando metro station, a place the victim managed to reach before collapsing, the knife still stuck in his chest.
The security guards tried to stop the bleeding by covering the wound with the jacket the victim was wearing. The emergency service, which had been alerted, arrived on the scene and transported the 28-year-old Moroccan to the Basurto hospital. His vital prognosis was engaged. He died a few moments later.

The police arrested on the same Thursday evening the alleged perpetrator of this murder, a 16-year-old unaccompanied foreign minor housed in a reception center in Gascogne, after identifying him on the security cameras of the station. There were "12 or 14" minors and they were shooting in all directions, several witnesses told El Correo, adding that the victim "was bleeding a lot".
The inhabitants of the region have not stopped alerting the authorities that the back of the Abando station has become the refuge of these groups of minors and that insecurity has increased after the end of the state of emergency.
