Teenage Son Arrested in Malaga for Stabbing Father, Leaving Him in Critical Condition

The Spanish police have arrested a 17-year-old Moroccan for stabbing his father several times at their home in the Churriana neighborhood of Malaga.
The minor, who fled the family home after his crime, was arrested by the agents in a field near the scene. He was still wearing clothes stained with the victim’s blood, reports El Confidencial. An investigation has been opened to uncover the motives for this assault, which the mother of the young man tried to conceal by assuring the agents that the victim, who is her husband, had suffered a fall.

The facts occurred on Wednesday late in the afternoon. The agents were alerted by a passer-by who saw the teenager leaving the home with his hands and clothes stained with blood. The young man, as well as the knife with which he allegedly stabbed his father, were found in a vacant lot near the family home, according to sources close to the case.
The 60-year-old victim received 16 to 17 stab wounds. He was rushed to the regional hospital in Malaga in critical condition. As for the minor, he was brought before the juvenile judge on Thursday morning, pending his trial.
