23-Year-Old Man Fatally Stabbed Outside Apartment Building in Sartrouville, France

A 23-year-old man was stabbed to death right in front of the entrance to a building in the Cité des Indes in Sartrouville. For now, the reasons for this attack remain unknown.
In the night from Saturday to Sunday, around 10:15 p.m., a friend of the victim had alerted the emergency services from the Rue du Maréchal-de-Lattre-Tassigny. A few seconds earlier, Medhi B. would have fallen into his arms saying: "I just got stabbed." The firefighters, the Samu and the law enforcement officers had rushed to the scene. Suffering from a wound to the abdomen, Medhi was immediately taken care of by the emergency services who were unable to stabilize him. He died an hour later, reports Le Parisien.
According to the first elements of the investigation, "the victim was attacked by a man in front of number three, right at the foot of this building," said a source close to the case. After a search, the murder weapon remains untraceable. Some witnesses would have indicated having seen a car leaving very quickly after the events, but so far the reasons for this murder remain unknown.
On the same evening, a large police force was deployed and a large security perimeter was set up to allow investigators to search for traces and some clues at the crime scene. "There were a lot of people around, but no notable incident occurred during the intervention," explains a police officer. The body was transported to the Garches Medical Institute for an autopsy next week. The criminal brigade of the Versailles judicial police will be responsible for conducting the investigations.
