Moroccan Suspect Arrested After Stabbing in Bordeaux City Center

A man was severely injured in the thigh on Tuesday, December 22 in Bordeaux, rue des Douves, around 8 pm. A suspect of Moroccan origin was arrested a few minutes later in the train station district.
The incident took place in the Capucins district in the center of Bordeaux. The initial investigation reveals that it could be a gratuitous assault orchestrated by two men and a woman.
The victim was returning home after a day’s work when he was accosted by the three individuals who allegedly stabbed him in the thigh before fleeing. It was passersby who called the emergency services to administer first aid to the victim, reports Sud Ouest.
Some witnesses to the incident pursued the aggressor and guided the police, who managed to arrest a suspect in the train station district. He is an 18-year-old Moroccan, known to the police for acts of violence. The investigation has been entrusted to the brigade for the repression of attacks on persons (Brap) of the departmental security, specifies the same source.
